Session Description: In today’s complex workplaces, cultural friction arises not only across national borders, but also through differences in role, generation, function, and power dynamics. This experiential session equips coaches with practical ways to recognize and navigate these cultural parameters using Cultural Intelligence (CQ). Through guided reflection, participants will explore the “lenses” they bring to coaching — such as communication style, comfort with hierarchy, or time orientation — and how these shape presence, listening, and interpretation.
A concise overview of key cultural frameworks sets the foundation before participants engage in a dynamic “Cultural Decode Role Play.” In small groups, they reenact a workplace scenario through various cultural lenses, revealing how meaning shifts, tensions emerge, or alignment becomes possible. A facilitated debrief connects these insights to real coaching conversations.
Participants leave with a digital workbook, CQ-based coaching questions, and strategies to help leaders detect early signs of cultural friction, foster cross-cultural dialogue, and expand their behavioral range. Ultimately, this session positions Cultural Intelligence as a core capability for modern coaching — empowering leaders to build trust, enhance collaboration, and create environments where differences are not only recognized, but leveraged for stronger performance and inclusion.
